For one, this piece feels like has multiple… movements? Some have the feel of really short songs? I guess it depends on how picky we are about the word ”song”. Whatever. Maybe the last one is more of a faux commercial for laquer. It’s not a jingle or a song. It has the feel of a faux commercial blended with a nostalgic remembrance for those buy, sale, trade programs that used to air on rural a.m. radio stations back in the day.

I wouldn't say this piece is overtly cheery or anything, but at least it is not as dour as some of the more recent stuff I’ve been doing. This one seems to have only a dark moment or two.

Signal Path: Too many tracks, too little desire to sort it out at the moment. It has a little of a lot of everything. I have multiple guitar tracks, a number of samples I recorded onto the SP-404mk2, an unknown number of samples coming out of the Digitakt ii, some Digitone ii synths, vocals of various sorts. Stuff I probably am forgetting.

It could be better. It’s rough around the edges. But I like the laidback aloofness and looseness the current mix possesses and don’t want to lose those. Which is absolutely going to happen if I keep messing with it. So off it goes.
