Sayonara Habit!
I felt compelled to create a digital card with the dog and a dirge of sorts to commemorate its passing.

Products come and products go.
Products go to market. Their birth is enthusiastically celebrated, parties are thrown and happiness abounds. They go through their lifecycle. Time marches forward. They age. Things change. Then, one day, they end of life.
Such is the case for the Chase Bliss Habit; A quirky delay pedal that I use time to time.
Though I prefer to think it is not so much “end of lifing”, but rather it is entering a new dimension of sorts.
For reasons unknown to this specimen, I felt compelled to create a digital card with the dog and a dirge of sorts to commemorate its passing.
A simple arpeggio on an acoustic guitar looped endlessly in the 404. The drum loops are all Syntakt. The vocals were live recorded through the 404. The Habit runs in the background and provides the texture found in the track as well as takes us out of the track.
As much as I would love to say the vocals were delayed using the Habit, I am actually using two tracks. When I recorded the final track, I realized a bit late that I had forgotten to mute a prior track. So I adapted in the moment and kept on recording. I preferred the end result and there you go.
(For the record, I am keeping my particular Habit).
